Quality Assurance (QA) Requirements
ENEC Operations suppliers must comply with different QA requirements depending on the items or services provided.
Barakah Plant structures, systems, components or services are classified under four quality categories:
- The Enterprise Quality Assurance (EQA) Department ensures all nuclear related activities meet the highest safety, regulatory, and quality standards. These requirements are cascaded to all suppliers and service providers supporting BNPP. Vendors must therefore demonstrate compliance with nuclear QA standards and international best practices to be qualified and selected.
- Suppliers registering for safety related applications must have an NQA 1–compliant program.
- Safety related suppliers must successfully pass the ENEC Operations QA Audit to be included in the ENEC Operations Nuclear Approved Supplier List (NASL).
- Laboratory testing suppliers must maintain a valid ISO/IEC 17025 certification, accredited by an ILAC member, to pass the ENEC Operations QA Audit for NASL inclusion.
- Agents must provide a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the OEM, and the OEM must be qualified and registered in the ENEC NASL database.
- For any further inquiries regarding qualification into the NASL database, please contact: enecoperationsqasupplieraudit@enec.ae
